One Year Later

A message from Alex

Hello everyone! We hope you’ve managed to keep safe and well.

Thanks for taking the time to check out the website, we appreciate it greatly!

Phil is currently providing his gas and central heating services (he does bathroom installations too if you’re in need) and I myself have now moved on to pastures new with another firm. As such the pub will have to remain closed for the time being. Regrettable as this is, we are where we are- and this is what it is!

With the easing of restrictions, will we see another uptick in cases and thus further lockdowns imposed? Who among us can honestly say hand on heart that we know either way? One thing has been made clear, that this eventuality remains a possibility. And so it is that we're now on a different path, for now at least! If things look set to change you can rest assured we will let you know here...

May we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your support over the years! Stay safe & take care!

This wonderfully characterful pub has stood for more than 300 years and offers a large picturesque beer garden, swings for the kids and spacious car park with step-free access. We offer a wide range of food & drink, including homemade pies & chillies, curries & steaks, fish and chips, local cask ales, a large selection of yummy desserts PLUS a selection of freshly ground coffees! Friendly dogs (on-leads) welcome in our dog-friendly area of the pub! We're a brilliant hub for walkers, seasoned or not, with walks aplenty around the astoundingly charming Bromyard Downs and nearby Brockhampton Estate.

Nestled away on the Bromyard Downs in the Herefordshire countryside, an area of real natural beauty with panoramic views of rolling hills & woods, with wild flora and fauna, farmland and the quaint market town of Bromyard as the centerpiece of the visage.

The Downs themselves have had an eclectic history, having once been a race-course, a golf-course and even a rifle-range!

The local area is full of History and holds regular festivals & celebrations, from the Hop Festival and the Folk Festival to Nozstock: The Hidden Valley festival and The Bromyard Christmas Lights switch-on! Plus more!

Click above to view & download our main menu. We have a wide variety of food with plenty of choice for vegetarian & meat-eater alike. We have a separate gluten free selection as well as a limited vegan-friendly selection which we hope to expand upon in 2020.

We aim to cater for all, but request that if you do have any specific dietary requirements or allergies, you let us know when you place your order.

We have even more choice on our specials boards for items we just couldn't fit on our already extensive menu! And we add new dishes throughout the year.

Sorry - we are not currently recruiting!

We are always on the look out for enthusiastic, reliable people to join our team! On-the-job training provided! Please call 01885 482585 or email us at alex@royaloakbromyard.com
